Summative Assessment Tasks


The following summative assessments aim to evaluate students’ language performance after learning this unit. 


Interpersonal Writing 
Students read an email from a friend in China and type a response on dating and characteristics of one’s person of interest.  See the email in [Summative Interpersonal Writing].


Interpretive Reading 

Students read a posting from social media which mirrors Text 1 《征友启事》in this unit and answer the comprehension questions in  [Summative Interpretive Reading].

Presentational Writing 

Students are asked to describe a friendship they have maintained/cherished over the years. Have students work through the guided steps and ask them to read the sample presentation and rubrics [Summative Presentational Writing].
